Lung Cancer Info
The place for information and resources
Lung cancer accounts for the largest percentage of cancer deaths in the western world, and it has been proven many times that cigarette
smoking is directly responsible for many of those cases.
However it's not just smoking that causes lung cancer. A history of working in a dusty environment can be a major factor (especially if
asbestos is involved), or there may be no particular reason, and discovering you have lung cancer in these cases can come as a profound
shock!
Lung cancer can be a devastating disease and being told you or your loved one is suffering from this disease can be a real body blow!!
If you have just been given the distressing news you're suffering from lung cancer, the one thing you need (and need quickly), is information
on your condition.
In addition to questions about general cancer information such as causes, types, treatments and prognosis, there are other
questions you may be asking:
- Are there alternative treatments for the type of cancer I have?
- Are there lifestyle changes I can be making to help with my treatments?
- What support groups are available to me?
- Where can I find other lung cancer patients to talk to?
This site is designed to be able to help you answer those questions. This is an information site only. Please read the medical disclaimer. Please don't hesitate to contact us if we can help with other cancer-related questions.
